Ultrafast 'Full Fibre' Broadband (Openreach)

Morrison Telecom Services are supporting Openreach in a massive £12 billion project that’s bringing ultrafast, ultrareliable ‘Full Fibre’ broadband to millions of homes and businesses throughout the UK.

The framework sees Morrison Telecom Services supporting Openreach’s ambition to build ‘Full Fibre’ infrastructure to 20 million premises throughout the UK by the mid-to-late 2020s – delivering significant economic, social and environmental benefits for urban communities.

Our scope of work includes:

Construction tasks including: surveying, building, testing and supporting Openreach to commission the network so that customers can place orders.
Our teams of engineers and support staff delivering full design, survey and build activities, including all civils-related works, from the exchange to the premises.

Superfast Enhancement Programme (SEP)

Morrison Telecom Services is supporting Openreach in delivering fibre across the UK. Openreach’s roll-out of fibre is one of the fastest in the world, with more than 24 million homes and businesses able to access superfast services.

This framework has seen Morrison Telecom Services continue to work with Openreach to deliver works in the South East and North East and expand our work into four new areas. Our scope of work includes:

Project management
Survey and design
Cabinet installation
Power connection
Electric meter installation
Electrical certification
Fibre/copper cabling and jointing

Next Generation Access (NGA)

Managed service contract to install 7000+ FTTC (DSLAM) structures including power connections across South East and North East covering 2.4m homes. Work activities include:

Project management
Cabinet survey and power (point of connection) design
Cabinet installation including power connection, meter install and electrical certification works
Civils (track, joint box)
Fibre/copper cabling and jointing
Handing over 60+ DSLAMs per week

What began as electrical support services contract expanded into a broad scope managed service offering, covering all works associated with the installation of the street side cabinets across the UK.

Network Extension & Maintenance Services

Contract to undertake network installation and network maintenance activities across the South East and North West on behalf of Openreach. Scope of works includes all civils, cabling, jointing and poling activities.

The contract has been put in place to support the field delivery of works required to maintain and enhance the Openreach network.

BDUK Superfast Broadband

Morrison Telecom Services supports Openreach on its BDUK project across a large part of England and Scotland. This roll out includes a mix of fibre to the cabinet and fibre to the home technologies. The scope of work includes:

Project management
Cabinet installation including power connection, meter install and electrical certification works
Civils (track, joint box) and overhead poling
Fibre/copper cabling and jointing

We also carry out survey works and oversee all aspects of the project including the planning application process, liaising with the Network Distribution Operators and street works management.
