Morrison Telecom Services Secures Framework Agreement with Openreach 23rd February 2016

We have been awarded a new framework agreement with Openreach, BT’s local network business.

Under the terms of the new agreement, MUS will support Openreach with the delivery of the Superfast Extension Programme (SEP), the next step in the Government’s Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) initiative. The new framework will see MUS continue to work with Openreach to deliver SEP works in the South East and North East, and extend this activity into four new regions across the South West and North West of England.

Kim Mears, Managing Director of Infrastructure Delivery at Openreach said: “We’re really pleased that Morrison Utility Services will continue to support Openreach in delivering fibre to even more premises. Our roll-out of fibre is one of the fastest in the world, with more than 24 million homes and businesses able to access superfast services.”

Charles Morrison, Chief Executive of Morrison Utility Services, comments: “The SEP broadband initiative is a landmark project and we’re delighted to have secured this framework agreement with Openreach. Our initial 3 year BDUK contract with Openreach began in 2014 and spanned 10 major broadband delivery projects across the South East, North East and Scotland. Throughout this period, we’ve demonstrated a very positive, can-do approach on behalf of our client to ensure that these projects were delivered on time and to the highest safety standards. Moving forward, our focus is to maintain these high performance and safety standards throughout the delivery of the SEP rollout and, wherever possible, to improve upon them however we can.”
